Cocoa farmers dissatisfied with road projects discontinued

The Ghana Cocoa Board's decision to end its Cocoa Road development initiative is being opposed by the Concerned Farmers Association of Ghana.

The group claims that building roads is outside the scope of its primary mission and could bring about the collapse of the entire nation.

The association thinks that halting road building will make it more difficult for towns and nearby cities to receive food from cocoa-growing regions like Dwaboso, Besem, and Boso-Nkwanta.

According to the association, the government does not interact with local farmers and does not care about cocoa trees.
