Diana Shipping enters offshore wind vessel market

Diana Shipping, a global shipping company, has recently announced its entry into the offshore wind market. The company plans to provide transportation services for wind turbine components and other equipment needed for offshore wind farms. This move comes as the demand for renewable energy sources continues to grow, and offshore wind energy is becoming increasingly popular.

New York-listed Greek bulker owner Diana Shipping has signed a term sheet to take part in a joint venture that is expected to own and operate offshore wind vessels.

The Semiramis Paliou-led owner and operator of 40 ships on a fully-delivered basis has partnered with Germany’s Blue Star Group, SeaRenergy Offshore Holding and SeraVerse under a consortium named Windward Offshore.
