Ghana Airports Chair Paul Adom-Otchere denies MD removal plot allegations

Paul Adom-Otchere, the chairman of the board of the Ghana Airports Company Limited, has denied allegations that he was involved in a plot to oust Pamela Djamson-Tettey, the company's managing director.

Mr. Adom-Otchere has categorically denied any involvement in the impending dismissal, despite assertions made by the Airport Workers Union to the contrary.

As a result of Ms. Djamson-refusal Tettey's to support Mr. Adom-Otchere on particular operational decisions made within the company, the Union accused him of engineering her termination, which sparked the dispute.

The Public Service Workers Union's Divisional Chairman at the Ghana Airport Company Limited, Mr. Abdul-Issaka Bamba, expressed the viewpoint of the union by saying, "Our information is that the Board Chair [Paul Adom-Otchere] is championing the course of removing the MD and this is causing a lot of agitations in the industry."

According to reports, the current scenario has caused a great deal of employee unhappiness. Bamba noted that staff members have been asking for information and expressing concerns nonstop.

Mr. Bamba stressed the significance of preserving harmony among the leadership in light of this in order to aid in the development of the business and guarantee operational stability.

In response, Mr. Adom-Otchere stated that he was unaware of the nature of the alleged conspiracy.
