Ethiopian graduate 1500 aviation experts in seven African nations



The largest aviation center of excellence in Africa, Ethiopian Aviation University, has produced 1,551 aviation professionals in the fields of pilot training, aircraft maintenance, cabin crew, commercial, and hotel operations.


"Human capital development is one of the key pillars in Ethiopian Airlines growth strategic road map; and today's graduation is a testimony of our commitment to ensure that we invest heavily in our aviation brainery," Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO Mr. Mesfin Tasew said in congratulating the aviation professionals. We will keep supplying Africa with qualified aviation experts as part of our continental commitment.


We are happy to see young people from seven African nations close one chapter and start a new one in their aviation adventure. We continue to educate young people in Africa at our center of excellence because we feel they have the capacity to influence the aviation industry on the continent. 660 male and 891 female graduates are welcomed by the sector today.



Ethiopian Aviation Excellence Center has been providing numerous aviation courses, primarily to African youngsters, since its founding in 1956. Youths from Tanzania, Uganda, Sudan, Togo, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Rwanda finished school today. The University currently provides undergraduate and graduate studies in the industries of hospitality and aerospace.


The Ethiopian Aviation University offers a variety of courses, including a BSc in Aeronautical Engineering, an MBA in Aviation Management, a BA in Tourism & Hotel Management, an MSc in Data Science, and a certificate in Aviation Maintenance Engineering. Together with ICAO Courses and Online Courses, the university also provides diploma and certificate programs in aviation maintenance technician, pilot training, cabin crew and commercial training, leadership & career development, catering training, and more. Moreover, Ethiopian possesses training facilities in nearby towns such Hawassa, Dire Dawa, Bahir-Dar, and Mekelle.
