According to Mr. Isaac Afum, Chief Executive Officer of Ashanti Ports Services Ltd (APSL), the concessionaire for the Boankra Integrated Logistics Terminal (BILT), also known as the Boankra Inland Port project, it will be finished and turned over to the government in November 2024.
When he led APSL officials to see the development of the $330 million project, which had been halted for nearly two decades due to several teething problems including mobilization, Mr. Isaac Afum revealed this here on Thursday.
According to Mr. Affum, the Ghanaian contractors on the project, Justmoh Construction Ltd, were on schedule and, barring any unforeseen difficulties, the project will be completed on time.
When I visited the site last Thursday, earth-moving equipment was busy at work on the terminal area, where 80% of the filling has already been done.
