Hyundai Engine Co intends to leave Russia and sell its assembling plants there to a Kazakh organization, South Korean media investigated Wednesday. South Korean Telecom company MBC detailed that talks to sell Hyundai's production lines in Russia are in the last stage, adding that the automaker has been sitting tight for a last endorsement from the Russian government.
"The facts really confirm that there are progressing conversations in regards to the deal, however nothing has been chosen," Hyundai Engine expressed, as per the Television station.
Hyundai Engine suspended tasks at its Russian activity last year. In Spring, the automaker said it was surveying "different choices" for its Russian activity. In a proclamation to Reuters on Thursday, Hyundai Engine said it was surveying different situations for the fate of its business in Russia, adding no choice had been made up until this point.
