Sixteen passengers died on the scene while more than twenty others remain hospitalized in critical condition after a bus crash on Tuesday May 30th, 2023.
The accident, which occurred at approximately 4:30 a.m., involved a fully loaded Yutong Bus, transporting Ivorians to Accra, and a Goodness Energy fuel tanker. It is believed that the driver, who was asleep at the time, veered off the road onto the opposite lane and collided with the Fuel Tanker.
The bodies of all sixteen deceased passengers have been deposited into the Winnemucca Specialist Hospital Mortuary, while the injured passengers are being treated at the same hospital.
The accident occurred on May 30 th, 2023. It involved a fully-loaded Yutong Bus traveling from cote d'ivoire to accra, transporting Ivorians, and a fuel tanker.
The bus crashed into the Goodness Energy Fuel Tanker, which was on the opposite side of the road from the bus.
The Yutong Bus driver veered out of his lane and hit the Fuel Tanker, resulting in the deaths.
