Thai Airways Expands European Network with Non-Stop Connection to Milan

Thai Airways has recently announced the expansion of its European network with the introduction of a new non-stop connection to Milan. This strategic move aims to provide passengers with greater convenience and accessibility to one of the fashion capitals of the world. The non-stop service will offer travelers a seamless and efficient travel experience, further enhancing Thai Airways' commitment to delivering exceptional service and connectivity to key destinations across the globe. This expansion reaffirms the airline's dedication to meeting the evolving needs of its customers and strengthening its position as a leading carrier in the international aviation industry.

Thai Airways is boosting its European network returning to Italy with a non-stop connection between Bangkok and Milan after four years. The carrier left the Italian market in March 2020 as a result of the COVID-19 health crisis and also plans to resume service to Rome-Fiumicino.

Impact on Commercial and Tourism Activity

With this new service, the airline expects to develop the region’s commercial and tourism activity through commercial aviation. Italy expects to receive 300,000 tourists from Thailand by 2025, reaching pre-pandemic levels.

Passenger Travel Data

According to data obtained by Aviacionline through the Italian National Agency for Civil Aviation (ENAC), 154,626 passengers traveled between Milan and Bangkok in 2019, the sixth busiest long-haul route from Malpensa Airport.
