2025 Hyundai Tucson N Line: A Sporty Upgrade

Hyundai has recently unveiled the new Tucson in an exciting N Line variant, while Pagani has released a captivating video showcasing the construction of the Utopia's V12 engine, built by AMG.

Following the early release of images by Hyundai Europe, additional photos of the Tucson facelift have now emerged. In conjunction with the compact crossover's market launch in its domestic market, Hyundai has introduced the N Line model. Although only one image has been released, it reveals discreet modifications to the headlights compared to the previous trim levels, as well as a distinct grille design.

The Tucson N Line is equipped with exclusive 19-inch wheels and features a revised front bumper, adding to its sporty appeal. Another image showcases the regular variant of the Tucson (with all-wheel drive) from the rear, providing a glimpse of its updated design. While the rear may appear similar to its predecessor, the lower lights have been redesigned, replacing the horizontal strip with a larger cluster. Additionally, the diamond-like pattern on the bumper has been removed.

While details regarding its availability in the United States are yet to be announced, the 2025 Tucson boasts a more conventional button layout compared to its predecessor. Notably, the gear selector has been repositioned to the steering wheel column, and the dual 12.3-inch screens follow the design language seen in recent Hyundai models. Furthermore, the iconic H badge on the steering wheel has been replaced by four dots representing Morse code for the letter "H." The climate settings panel has also been updated, accompanied by a sleek "floating" console.

Hyundai has prioritized a quieter cabin experience in the 2025 Tucson. To achieve this, double-laminated glass has been expanded from the windshield to the windows of the front doors. Additionally, two-stage dampers have been installed at the front axle, enhancing ride comfort. The interior now features a chunkier floor carpet, further reducing noise levels. Furthermore, Hyundai has incorporated additional noise insulation material in various areas, including the front wheel guard, the bottom section of the driver's seat, and the B- and C-pillars.

Pagani's Utopia: The Power of AMG's V12

The automotive industry is witnessing a shift towards downsizing engines due to stringent emissions regulations. However, Mercedes-Benz continues to uphold the legacy of big engines with their V12 powerplant. While AMG no longer produces V12-powered cars, Mercedes still offers this formidable twelve-cylinder engine in the Maybach S-Class, specifically in the S680 model.

In addition to powering Mercedes-Benz vehicles, AMG has collaborated with Pagani to create a bespoke V12 engine for their remarkable Utopia supercar. Pagani recently released a captivating video showcasing the construction process of this twin-turbo 6.0-liter engine. With an impressive output of 852 horsepower and 811 lb-ft of torque, this mighty engine can be paired with a seven-speed manual transmission – offering enthusiasts the opportunity to manually shift gears in a new V12 supercar.

Every AMG engine is meticulously hand-assembled by a skilled craftsman who signs their name as a testament to exceptional craftsmanship and quality. Interestingly, it is worth noting that Pagani had the option to equip the Utopia with a hybrid V8 engine. Horacio Pagani, founder of Pagani Automobili, revealed last year that his company had access to AMG's twin-turbo 4.0-liter engine in a hybrid configuration. This electrified powertrain could have delivered around 1,000 horsepower in an all-wheel-drive supercar. However, Pagani ultimately decided to retain the V12 engine and rear-wheel-drive setup for the Utopia.

The final iteration of the Utopia stands out not only for its exceptional performance but also for its lightweight construction. With a remarkably low dry weight of 1,280 kilograms (2,622 pounds), Pagani conducted Nürburgring lap simulations comparing the heavier V8 hybrid Utopia with the lighter V12 model. The results revealed that the V12 variant was approximately five seconds faster. Consequently, Pagani opted for the lighter and faster V12 configuration.

Summary

Hyundai's latest unveiling of the Tucson N Line showcases an enhanced sporty design and improved interior features. Meanwhile, Pagani's collaboration with AMG continues to produce awe-inspiring engines, as demonstrated by the hand-built V12 powering their extraordinary Utopia supercar. As we move towards an era of downsized engines, these remarkable offerings demonstrate that automotive enthusiasts can still enjoy powerful and exhilarating driving experiences.
