Accra-Tema Motorway traffic diversions caused by construction works

Traffic diversion measures are being implemented on the Accra-Tema Motorway, according to a statement from the Ministry of Roads and Highways, operating through the Department of Urban Roads, as a result of the ongoing construction of the bridge that will connect Flowerpot and East Legon.

The building work is related to the Flowerpot Interchange project.

The traffic control signs set up during this time are to be followed, and drivers are recommended to travel carefully and at the posted speed limit.

Prior to arriving at the construction zone, there will be six height restriction gantries (each measuring 4.5 metres) placed at various points along the Accra Tema Motorway. Vehicles taller than 4.5 metres will be redirected to use the approved path to leave the stretch.

Thus, the Ministry expresses its regret for any difficulty caused while construction is underway.
