Dutch heavylifting firms Bonn & Mees and HEBO merge



HEBO Maritime Hauling Service, a Netherlands-based maritime hauler, has partnered with Bonn & Meers Floating SheerLegs to form an ambitious joint venture.


The duo, based in Rotterdam, declared that the partnership provides the basis for sustainable development, expansion of services, and a strengthened position in the market.


With 170 years of combined experience in the maritime transport industry, HEBO is the most comprehensive maritime transport company in Europe, offering a wide range of services, including heavy lifting, specialist transport, salvage and emergency response.


The merger provides an opportunity to broaden the scope of maritime services provided by HEBO. Through its extensive and diversified fleet of vessels, HEBO undertakes projects in the areas of integral infrastructure, response to emergencies, salvage, transportation, wind and decommissioning in a variety of markets. At the same time, Bonn & mees operates three offshore sheerlegs from the port of Rotterdam to address issues in the areas of offshore installation, decommissioning and heavy lifting, as well as civil construction.


HEBO's Chief Executive Officer, Marius Punt, has announced plans to take advantage of new opportunities to expand, enhance sustainability, and foster global growth. According to the parties, they are actively seeking to acquire and integrate new businesses to expand and complement their services.
