Abu Dhabi to receive Singapore's Crystal Offshore offshore rig and repair base

AD Ports Group, Abu Dhabi's leading deepwater port, has entered into a 25 year contract with Crystal Offshore, a Singapore-based shipyard, to construct a base for the repair and refit of jackup rig, marine, and offshore vessels, including FPSOs and semisubmersibles.

According to the terms of the agreement, Crystal Offshore will be allocated a plot of land, measuring 20,000 square meters, and an accompanying quay wall within Khalifa Port. The plot will be used for office space and a new facility for shipyard fabrication.

AD Ports recently announced that it will expand its services at Khalifa Port from container and freight handling to drydock in order to meet the increasing demands of regional and international customers.
