Qatar Airways launches daily service to Accra.

Today, June 29, 2023, marks the beginning of Qatar Airlines' daily service to Kotoka International Airport in Accra, which will last through the end of August.

This summer's demand has led to an increase in frequency. The Gulf carrier first began operations in Ghana on Tuesday, September 29, 2020, with four flights that were then increased to five times per week and subsequently daily service. It has three hubs at Hamad International Airport, Doha International Airport (DIA), and Luxembourg Airport.

Due to the increased demand on other routes during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, the airline's daily service was reduced to four flights. This was made possible in part because a significant portion of its A350 aircraft were grounded due to a legal dispute with Airbus over the A350's surface degradation.

Since then, the legal dispute between Qatar Airways and Airbus about A350 surface degradation has been resolved amicably and to both parties' satisfaction.

With its base and hub, Hamad International Airport, the airline offers approximately 100 weekly flights to 25 destinations in 18 countries on the continent of Africa. Daily flights from Qatar Airlines to Accra, Ghana have begun.
