All preparations are in place for the inaugural Automobile Assembly of Ghana Summit 2023, to be held on the 27th of June, 2023 at the AICC Grand Arena in Accra.
The Summit will focus on the development of a new economic foundation for Ghana and the Sub-region, and will provide an opportunity for leading industry professionals to discuss the most recent developments, difficulties, and prospects in the automotive sector.
The summit will concurrently run along an exhibition of over 20 vehicle models locally assembled in Ghana by the members of the AAAG.
"We are honored to serve as the host of this inaugural summit, which will examine the future of the automotive industry and the technologies and ideas that will influence it. The AAAG President, Mr. Jeffrey Oppong Peprah, emphasized that this would give us as a nation the chance to debate the problems and opportunities that affect businesses and the car industry as a whole.
AAAG is a member of Volkswagen Ghana (VW), Japan Motors (JPM), Rana Motors (RMA), Kantanka Automobile (Kantanka), Silverstar Ghana (Silverstar), and Stallion Group (Tosusho Company), and an associate member of Toyota Ghana (CFAO Motors Ghana).
The event is expected to bring together hundreds of senior executives from across the automotive industry, from vehicle manufacturers to component manufacturers, engineers to government, from the financial sector to insurance, from global organisations to the media.
Panel discussions will focus on the automotive industry’s key areas of focus, such as sustainability, competitiveness, industry standards, the development of a local market for used cars, component production, retail, auto finance, and insurance.
Leaders from vehicle manufacturers, policy makers, and a wide range of content specialists from the automotive and aligned sectors will be speaking at the summit, which is supported by the AfCFTA Secretariate, GIPC, and Trade and Industry Ministry.
The event, which is by invitation only, is expected to provide attendees with a wealth of knowledge and networking opportunities.
